A Real Moment From My Life
When my oldest son, Nevan, was about three years old, I was deep in survival mode. My husband was working long hours, and I was home all day with two little ones, no family nearby, no real breaks, just the same cycle of waking, doing, and collapsing into bed.
One day, Nevan walked up to me, looked right into my eyes, and asked, “What’s wrong, Wani?”, that’s what he used to call me because he couldn’t say “Mommy.” His tiny, sticky hand touched my face, and I just broke.

Hey there, Mamafriend — I’m Vella Ellerbe.
I’m a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, Mastery Life Coach, and what my community calls THE Postpartum Midwife.
For over a decade, I’ve supported mothers in rebirthing themselves through early postpartum and the ever-evolving journey of motherhood.
After experiencing postpartum depression myself, I realized that motherhood could swallow your identity if you don’t learn to care for yourself holistically.
I surrendered to God, asked Him to rebuild me, and people started showing... real, divine support, one by one.
Now, I’ve made it my mission to be that person for other mothers.
I absolutely love what I do, and my clients’ results speak louder than I ever could. It’s truly an honor. I hope to see you on the inside.
